This is a major advantage for our clients as we can make non-standard sizes when needed, ensuring a seamless fit within any space. We have full control over the manufacturing and doing this ourselves also means we can produce bespoke kitchen or bedroom furniture but without the high price of comparable furniture designs. We always do our best to keep costs down, passing these savings on to our clients. Colourhill Kitchen Cabinets: Why choose a British kitchen over a German kitchen?
German kitchens have a well-deserved reputation for excellence, and we fully agree they are experts in delivering high-quality, functional and aesthetically pleasing products …yet at Colourhill Kitchens and Bedrooms, we also know we can do this better! For example, compared with German kitchen furniture which typically has an 8mm or 16mm backboard, we use 18mm thick backboards for the entire carcass, resulting in a more robust and better-quality end-product. We also make our kitchens locally in our Lincolnshire factory, which means shorter lead times for our clients. This also gives us full control over the manufacturing process, ranging from measurements, quality and ultimately price, as we can deliver better quality for better prices, on a comparable German kitchen.

In addition, whilst we know our British kitchen furniture is better than German, we also believe our designs are better because we include German kitchen fixtures and fittings! Whether hinges and draw runners, we have tried them all over the years in supplying both our factory and the wider industry too, and through experience, we recognise that German ‘Blum’ and ‘Hettich’ manufacture the best hinges. And so, by including them within our kitchens, we are certain we are giving our clients the very best of both worlds, for the very best kitchen or bedroom design!!

This includes popular kitchen styles such as traditional in-frame and shaker, as well as modern handleless doors in gloss, matt, wood or stone. You also have the option of paint-to-order door colours. Second Nature kitchens are customisable to suit a range of spaces, budgets, and styles, and here at Colourhill Kitchens, we can know we can design and manufacture nearly anything you can think of!
